Descriptions of the systems used by our company:
mb-mt50n
The MB-MT50N system is the perfect solution for the construction of lightweight curtain walls, roofs and skylights. Complies with EN 13830:2005 and uses aluminium box-form sections for robustness and aesthetics. The 50 mm wide profiles can be adapted to various infill panels such as glazing and panels.
The MB-MT50N system is the perfect solution for modern buildings, combining aesthetics, functionality and high energy efficiency.
Benefits:
• Variety of infill options thanks to flexible fastening system.
• Ability to adapt profiles according to strength requirements.
Joints and expansion joints
With dedicated fasteners, the system provides effective load transfer. Expansion joints compensate for the movement of the facade, which is key to maintaining its integrity and aesthetics.
Thermal and sound insulation
MB-MT50N offers two variants of insulation:
• MB-MT50N ST: with ABS/TPE insulation.
• MB-MT50N SI: with modern PET/PE insulation, ensuring the best insulation performance.
Drainage and ventilation
The system allows effective drainage and ventilation through the use of special channels in the mullions and transoms, ensuring the long life of the structure and the comfort of use.
Sealing
The panes are fixed with pressure strips and an EPDM seal to ensure high tightness. For unusual angles, butyl tape is used in addition.
Design
Structures must be constructed according to individual designs, taking into account the specifics of the building and the standards. The documentation should include details of joints, seals and the ventilation and drainage system.
mb-sr50n hi+
The MB-SR50N HI+ system is used to create lightweight curtain walls, roofs, skylights and other structures. Its load-bearing structure consists of aluminium box-section mullions and transoms, connected by special fasteners.
The MB-SR50N HI+ system is flexible, combining with other ALUPROF S.A. facade and window and door systems to provide high insulation, durability and easy installation.
Key features:
• Fixed 50 mm wide support profiles are flush on the inside of the facade.
• Pressure and masking strips of any shape form the exterior of the facade.
• A cantilever system connects the facade to the structure, ensuring adequate load-bearing capacity.
• The LDPE insulation provides excellent thermal insulation and easy fitting.
Joints and expansion joints
• T-joints transfer loads between elements.
• Expansion joints compensate for facade movements caused by thermal expansion and deformation of the building’s supporting structure.
3. Drainage and ventilation
• The overlap joints between the mullions and transoms allow for cascading drainage and ventilation of the shaft cavities.
• Component drainage and ventilation of the facade is provided by specially designed channels in the mullions and transoms.
Fastening and sealing
• Glazing and other infill panels are fixed with pressure strips to the mullions and transoms.
• EPDM seals ensure tightness with varying heights depending on the thickness of the glazing.
Dimensions and specifications
• Width of mullions and transoms: 50 mm
• Mullion depth: 50 – 325 mm
• Transom depth: 5 – 189.5 mm
Resistance and insulation
• The strength of the mullions and transoms depends on the parameters given in the catalogue.
• Thermal insulation: calculated in accordance with EN ISO 10077-2:2005.
• Air permeability: AE 1050 (EN 12152).
• Water tightness: RE 1200 (EN 12154).
• Wind load resistance: 2.4 kN/m² (EN 13116).
• Impact resistance: Class I5/E5 (EN 14019).
